Alchemy’s Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) program is designed to provide individuals with more intensive therapy while allowing them to maintain their everyday life obligations. It is a more cost-effective alternative to inpatient treatment yet still provides some of the same core components of an inpatient program such as individual and group therapy, education about addiction, and relapse prevention. Our IOP enables a client in the early stages of recovery to establish a foundation for long-term recovery support in their local community right from the start of treatment. IOP is a 9 week program based on an individualized treatment plan typically consisting of:
- Group sessions
- Individual sessions
- Family STAR (Supportive Team Assisting Recovery) Program
- 12-step recovery and other recovery support groups
- Structured Peer Support
- Complete Medical Lab Evaluation
- Random Urine drug screens
- Integrated Evaluation and Management with Doctors that are Fellowship trained and Board Certified in the Treatment of Addiction
- Integrated Medical Psychiatric Care
Alchemy Addiction Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
IOP operates 4 days per week for group sessions and other services are scheduled at the convenience of the client and counselor. Upon completion of IOP, weekly aftercare (1 hr groups) is recommended for clients for up to one year. Aftercare is recommended and strongly encouraged for all clients completing IOP to grow the day to day application of recovery principals and actions.
We also incorporate or family component STAR Program that encourages clients to bring a family member or other support person to learn about addiction.
Our Family S.T.A.R. Program
Support Team Assisting Recovery
The Family S.T.A.R program is a special initiative specifically addressing the issues that arise while loving and supporting someone with an Addiction. Through the recovery process, clients are required to identify a supportive loved ones to include in family sessions. This gives loved ones and/or family an opportunity to:
- Learn more about substance use disorders
- Release some of the burden by talking to professionals
- Learn about resources for self-care and further support
- Learn how to be an effective support person for loved ones in recovery
Outpatient Care Works
Outpatient care works for many reasons. One is that we know you have responsibilities that need you. Whether it is taking care of your family or going to work/school, we understand that your life doesn’t stop while you are getting help.
IOP is a structured program where clients (adults) receive information and instruction on how to lead a substance-free lifestyle and support to achieve and maintain abstinence. Clients live at home and travel to their local Alchemy location where they participate in treatment. The program provides assessment and primary treatment services and may be recommended for individuals who are currently enrolled in our Ambulatory Detoxification program, do not require detoxification, or individuals who may have completed a residential treatment program and are looking for additional support in their early recovery.
